Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Full Time/Days and Nights available

JOB SUMMARY: This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems, and is expected to deliver competent patient care to a full patient assignment. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's polices.

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Valley Children's Healthcare (VCH) is a highly specialized unit within a level 2 trauma center, equipped to provide exceptional care to patients with high acuity needs. With 42 beds and patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1, we serve a diverse patient population, including cardiac, neuroscience, and acutely ill patients. REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program, BSN strongly preferred
• Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
• One year of experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual skills desirable
• HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position

POSITION DETAILS: Full Time, 6 x 11.5-hour shifts per 2-week pay period, various shifts available, Weekend and/or Holiday rotation

PAY RANGE: $38.17 - $62.20

DISCLAIMER: Top of pay scale for RN I and RN II is $62.20 and top of pay scale for RN III and RN IV is $66.00
