RCP - Respiratory Care Services - Part Time

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for managing the basic respiratory needs of patients in the Emergency, Acute Care and Critical Care units with consistency and a minimal degree of independence under the direction of the Medical Director. The incumbent delivers patient care in an efficient manner within the scope of the Respiratory Care Practice Act and Valley Children's Healthcare policies.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) graduation from a two year AMA approved respiratory care program with an Associate of Science Degree B) an active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure; C) A Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential (RRT) D) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); and E) demonstrated basic mathematical calculation skills and understanding of age/cultural principles. Bilingual skills desirable.

Life Support Certifications Required: 1) HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days; 2) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months: for NICU only; 3) PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days

POSITION DETAILS: Part-time, night shift 7:00pm - 7:30am

PAY RANGE: $32.00-50.75
