The Acute Pediatric Dialysis RN will provide direct clinical dialysis care to inpatient acute patients, hemodialysis patients, peritoneal dialysis patients and CRRT at the M Health Fairview, University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
About this position:
This position will work 50 hours every two weeks, 10 hour shifts, on the Day/Evening shift, working 3 out of every 6 weekends
The Dialysis RN assesses patients,initiates dialysis therapies, continues on-going assessments of patient during dialysis, provides interventions as needed during treatment. The RN works closely with nephrologists, fellows, residents, nephrology PAs to assure quality dialysis therapy, and holistic care of ESRD patients.
The RN also provides hemodialysis treatments and PD treatments, takes call after hourson rotational basis so there is 24/7 dialysis services coverage.

Basic Life Support through Health Care Providers
Dialysis, pediatric or adult critical care experience is preferred
Certification in related specialty
EKG, acute care experience andESRD knowledge and critical thinking skills are important to be successful in this position.
