Summary

The Behavioral Health LPN delivers nursing care, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in medical surgical units. The Behavioral Health LPN collaborates with the medical staff when performing nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient. The Behavioral Health LPN complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. The Behavioral Health LPN prepares patients for procedures and assists physicians as needed during examinations or treatment of patients. The Behavioral Health LPN may be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty, or in another patient care unit as assigned by department head or nursing supervisor.

Position Requirements

• Current Florida LPN License
• Current BLS Certification
• Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
• Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition
• Good time management skills, ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, stressful environment
