Nemours is seeking an Academic General Pediatrician to join the Division of General Pediatrics at Nemours A.I. duPont Hospital for Children. As one of the nation’s leading pediatric healthcare systems, Nemours is committed to providing all children with the best chance to grow up healthy. We offer integrated, family-centered care to more than 280,000 children each year in our pediatric hospitals, specialty clinics, and primary care practices in Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Nemours A.I. duPont Hospital for Children is a 194-bed freestanding tertiary children’s hospital that provides innovative care for children in the Delaware Valley and beyond. Our physicians are on faculty at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. We work closely with a large pediatric residency program, which also includes med-peds, peds-rehab, and peds-neurology residents, along with the Jefferson medical students.
Our Academic General Pediatrics group, which includes seven General Pediatricians, one Physician Assistant, and one Nurse Practitioner, is housed within the Division of General Pediatrics, which also includes Academic Pediatric Hospitalists and Child Abuse specialists. Primary clinical responsibilities include outpatient clinic and precepting of residents and medical students. Additionally, our practice specializes in Children with Medical Complexity, Foster Care, and some specialty clinics. There is the possibility of inpatient service time depending on the applicant’s interest and needs of the division. Applicants must be BC/BE in Pediatrics and should be skilled at managing a broad spectrum of acute and chronic illnesses including technology-dependent children from newborns to adulthood. Our division also engages in academic pursuits, including education of our pediatric residents and medical students, research, advocacy, and participation in quality improvement.

Wilmington, DE is a medium-sized city which offers an affordable lifestyle convenient to major locations on the East Coast, including easy drives to the Delaware and New Jersey beaches, Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore, and Washington DC.
