Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Uses unique knowledge and skills to contribute to perioperative patient outcomes that are defined as observable or measurable physiological, psychosocial and psychological responses to perioperative nursing interventions. Communicates and collaborates with surgeon(s) and the anesthesiologist continuously regarding the patientâ��s condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Obtains supplies for individual cases, ensures that operating room equipment is available and functioning, and that all appropriate needs of the patient and surgical team are met.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Two (2) years recent experience in surgery
Current California Registered Nurse License
Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA certified)
Certification in specialty preferred
